Our red Cooper received a lot of attention before the SCCA Solo II Nats, and now it's time to get the Cooper S ready for the upcoming SEMA Show--and next year's autocross season. Today we got tires and wheels mounted, and tomorrow will be doing more testing. Then we'll visit the dyno shop. Updates are in the "project car" section of our Web page, and if there are any specific questions, just let me know.

 

WOW! Full second quicker. Impressive!!! For that size track...what is that...like a year in dog years???

Thanks for the info....your Cooper project car article was VERY interesting...looking forward to reading more on this!

 

For a 40-second track, yeah, I guess a second advantage isn't too bad, especially since the Porsches (911 SC and 944) were both slightly modded, receiving better shocks and tires at a minimum. (The 944 had also received a few more tricks.)

We head back to the track tomorrow to test our new suspension setup--and maybe a few other things, if we have the time. We'll post an update as soon as return. We'll may have another update later today, too.

 

I love it. I have always hated 911s since that time at Lime Rock, many
moons ago...but I digress. Man, I love my S.

 

I bought an "S". I Have a helmet. I just subscribed to Grass Roots Motorsports. What else do I really need!!!....Oh yeah.. maybe food, water, and air.

 

The car is currently at the kart track, and another update has been posted. In theory, we'll have some real results later today. Busy, busy.
