My car recently developed a chirping or squealing sound coming from the belt area...when i spray wd40 directly on the super charger pulley where the belt is, the noise goes away, but eventually returns.
Any idea what could be causing this?

I have an 03 msc with a 15% pulley and new belt...all about 7k old.

Water pump.

 

A new pump was put in the same time the pulley was done...and isn't the pump on the other side?

 

sounds like it could be your tensioner as well.

 

Tensioner or Idler, I would think that if you can spray on the snout area of your S/C, more likely the Idler, simply because the lubricant would run down the front of the motor to the Idler, where as the pulley on the tensioner is off the motor, that is of course if it is the pulley and not the tensioner assembly itself.

Use a long screwdriver to your ear or pick up an automotive stethescope to help pin point it.

 

I have a new tensioner in there as well, so it cant be that....so you think its the idler?
