need help in the DC area

my daughter called early today, had been run off the road in my mini by a truck south of DC, banged a wheel on the curb and jacked up the steering.

shop she went to said yep, better call the insurance agent. looks like a strut and maybe a rack. Wheel? she said everything is more like 11 o'clock instead of 12

my problem is, I'm in Kansas and need to find a good shop in the dc area. She is at Indian Head Md for the summer. so closest things are Waldorf, and south central MD area, east side of DC. Alexandria if she had to to.

anybody out there got any thoughts I'd really appreciate it

bo

Your insurance company should be able to give you the names of some shops in that area that are in their preferred shop program. Who's your insurance company ?

If you want me to, I can give you the names of some of the shops in our program (State Farm) in that area. I'm an adjuster in the Mid-Atlantic Zone office for SF. They might not be in the program of your insurance company if you have a different insurer, but I can assure you, they'll be good shops.

hey thanks for the quick reply, we're with State farm. I asked my local agent about finding shops, I think he spaced it out. so hopefully when she talks to the adjuster out there they can come up with something.

if you have any recommendations would be great!

Last time I went in for work I took my car to Ashburn to a place Mini of Sterling recommended but that's pretty out of you're way.

Maybe call Mini of Alexandria and see if they have a shop that they recommend. Maybe the place they recommend is on your insurances list of preferred shops. You don't have to go one of there recommended shops.

yep thats the plan, waiting for word from SF now.

I thought sending here to Maryland with the Mini was better than her 4x4 on gas, but I might make up for it in repairs

kinda miss'n my car right now
