Hub Rings Necessary for SSR Types C Wheels?

I bought some used SSR Type C wheels with tires yesterday. I have a 2006 Mini Cooper S and the bolts/studs are too big. Did some research and I believe my Mini is a late 2006 model thus having the 14mm bolt size and the SSR's holes are 12mm. So my next step is to drill the holes with the proper size bit. My question is will I need to purchase Hub rings?

17"x7.5' SSR type-c rims +42 offset, 4x100 bolt pattern., with 215/45/17 kumho sports le tires

Hub rings aren't absolutely necessary, but they are a good idea. It helps with installing the wheel as they center it for you. As for drilling the wheels, I had the same issue with my late production 2006 with 14mm lug bolts. Instead, I went with a stud kit from WayMotorWorks that converts 14mm to 12mm. I would NEVER go back to lug bolts. If this interests you, here's the link: http://www.waymotorworks.com/m14-to-...rsion-kit.html

Thank for the info, I think I will just end up drilling to the 14mm... I don't feel like spending the extra $$ if it's not necessary (times are tough).

I also have another question which has to do with a "swoosh" noise coming from what I believe is the bushing for the rear sway bar... I added WD-40 and that seemed to have solved the issue for a few weeks but the noise returned. Its coming from the driver side back wheel area. Does it need to be re-lubed? Or do I have to buy new bushings?

Am I even correct about where the noise originating from?
