Stock Fuel Sender resistance

Im adding an aftermarket fuel gauge and need to know what the resistance value is on the fuel sender, i.e. 0-ohm= empty 80-ohm=full.... i dont have a cluster in the vehicle due to some heavy modifications going on. also if anyone knows what wire the fuel sender uses to the back of the cluster it would be a great help. Apparently the ECU doesn't read that information.
