R50/53 BOOT VOLUME!
OK, so I fit $159 worth of groceries into the boot today. And for the record, I packed it carefully to make it all fit. Also, I did not "cheat" by buying anything other than odds and ends. Even I was shocked!
I wonder how it compares to my '93 Miata. Before we had kids, we took a 2 week trip to Seattle from Chicago. We got everything in the trunk on in the little well behind the seats when the top is down. We did cheat, though, we brought no suitcases. Only plastic bags from the grocery store!
Bet you never thought that when they were asking you "Paper or Plastic?" that they were offering you a custom luggage set!

I've found a mix of paper and plastic works well. I use paper bags lined up against each other in the boot, then cram in any other groceries in plastic baggies everywhere else that will fit. I still have to toss the 20 pound bag of dog food in the back seat though. LOL
