Fight the ticket. The heck with the fees. Your insurance will go up for three years minimum.

And yes, treat cops with the utmost respect, it sometimes works; but when I was a kid, they treated me like crap for what I felt was nothing.

Let's face it, if you are older and driving a blue station wagon, you are invisible.

When you are young and in a nice car, you are fair game.

Particularly whe you're speeding like a banshee......it took me a LOOOOOOOONG time (and a few tickets) to realize that a speeding car sticks out like a sore thumb on a freeway. I can spot a fast car miles off, without radar.....so can the cop.......
Stealth is the word......right lane, about 12 MPH over the limit on a freeway.....eyes wide open.......trailing the speedemons by a quarter mile allows you to go at their speed and you get to see the blinking lights when the trooper peels after them....
