finally got rid of my cold start stumble and die problem! i had tried everything, plugs, wires, injector cleaner, new oil, different gas, seafoam, hopes and prayers, swearing at it, apologizing, everything!

anyway, in a stroke of wisdom, i checked my belt. guess what was ripping?
and, for the win, guess what finally fixed my cold start issue?

Good catch...getting the belt before it goes is always a good thing!! When i check my oil, i alway take a quick look!!
Congrats on getting your start issue too!! The yearly changeover from/winter/summee fuel with different vapor preasure tends to help/hurt the issue for some folks too!!

 

Is this the serpentine belt or another?

 

That is the ONLY belt on a gen1 s......unless you include the one around your waist!!
sure it had nothing to do with the cold start, but a lucky catch!!
(The mini uses a timing CHAIN, not a belt, like on many other asian desgins).
