The event was a huge success with an unbeatable combination of excellent weather, a gracious host, and the "Mini Man" -- Randy Webb. First, thanks to Sonracer and his family for really making everyone feel like members of their family. Good food, access to every kind of tool, and homespun hospitality at its very best. They are wonderful people. And Randy. Well I must say that he is much more than a Mini expert: master mechanic, philosopher, humorist, patient teacher, and -- best of all -- a regular guy. Someone you'd want for a life-long friend. Those of you who have been considering attending a pulley party: GO. It's worth however long you have to drive to get there and it's one of life's truly memorable experiences.

I have been reading about these things for a while now and Randy Webb's name always seems to be at the heart of all. Can't believe there was so much negativity about this guy awhile back(mostly to do with some malcontent on a porche site).Ok , so down to the nitty gritty; how does one go about setting up one of these affairs? Are there any planned for Massachusetts in the near or distant future? How much does this guru(Randy) charge for his services during one of these affairs?Does the pully install include the reprograming of the chip?Is this even Necessary? cxomments please...............

go to Randy's website for answers to your most of your questions. Follow the thread on the Virginia Pulley party from its inception (won't take you long) and you'll see that these things require some initial solicitiation of interest -- just to see how many people would be interested, then someone with a covered garage steps up and volunteers to host the party (provide floor space, get directions out) and Randy takes care of the rest. He overnights the parts, flies out, does the work over three day or so, and flies back to Denver. Prices are very reasonable (IMHO). Most people get the pulley done with or with the ECU upgrade. But he'll do just about anything. I already had the pulley, so I got the ECU upgrade and the Alta oil catch can -- and a set of Denso Iridiums.
