So it gets worse when you get closer to the delivery date?

Gaaa, I'm not even to my build date and I'm clawing my eyes out.

Storer - just try to keep yourself very busy. The last few days are crazy, I know mine were. Hope to meet up with you soon in the Hartford area.

I haven't even ordered one yet and can't wait to get mine. It's just like waiting for your birthday when you were younger, wanting to sneak at your presents. If only we could jump over to England and sneak into the Mini factory to take a peak.

BMW Brussels told me the MINI Cooper will arrive on Halloween week.

Listening to classic music calms me down...and then along comes The Smiths with "There is a light that never goes out"...and then it's all chaos from there...

A week and a half of torture left...and I'll get a car that I don't know how to drive yet! There are worse motivation techniques for learning how to drive, I'm sure!

That's great news Storer! I'm happy for you. Maybe you'll get lucky like I did - it was sort of unexpected. The day I got my MINI, I called MINIUSA at 11:30AM and they told me it was just released to the truck carrier for shipment. Even though I didn't expect my MINI to make the first truck, I picked up my wife and kid after school and went to my dealer to see if he was there @ 4:30pm. He was - he was unloaded off the truck 20 min before I got there. I came back at 5:30pm and I was driving my MINI home by 6pm. How exhilerating that was! And it REALLY made the long wait come to a great, happy ending. Getting the car on the estimated delivery date which was 3-4 days earlier than I was really expecting. I love everything about the car and everything I have to do with the car - even going to work! Yesterday I took the wife and kid to this great ice cream place about 30-40 minutes from our house. Well it was already closed for the winter! But who cares! We were all like, "Oh well". And we just drove all the way back home to a local ice cream place.

Hang in there buddy, it'll all be worthwhile soon!

Just remember: it is sooooo worth the wait! It's a totally surreal moment when you first see her and drive her home. I kept thinking "Is this really FINALLY happening??!!" I appreciate my MINI so much more since I had to wait in anticipation for her. Good luck with your wait! Hang in there!!
