I attended a local car show just to look around and found out there was a catagory for cars 1976 to present. Saw some Vettes, Camaros, Trans Ams, couple of Jags etc. So for $12.00 I thought what the heck, lets enter the MINI. Didn't see any there. There was over 150 cars from the 30's,40's,50's, to the present. So any how I entered. Parked by a 1952 Chevy and a 1969 Camaro "ss",two beautiful classic cars. Well after a few hours I was asked to move my car to a different area because the lady that owned the camaro was complainig that two many people were checking out my car and ignoring hers. I moved to a different location right up front and the crowds followed. By the end of the event I was hoarse from talking about the car so much. Then the awards were being presented, Top Pick catagory: Cobra,55 Chevy, Mustang,Vette,Roadster, and then a 2002 MINI COOPER "S". I nearly fell down. I could not belive it. I really won!!!! The crowd applauded and I went up and got my trophy. Oh yeah, the lady that complained, she didn't get anything. Maybe she needs to go buy a "MINI". :evil:

Congrats on your trophy! That's a great story. Of course, you realize that the Camaro lady will tell everyone at the next show, "Oh, I know the owner of that MINI...isn't it a great car?"

 

Congrats on the win, but how RUDE :evil: of the woman next to you complaing that she wasn't getting enough attention... If that was me, if she didn't like it, she could move.. and take her me me me attitude with her... grrrr...
