stuck hatchback

Does anyone have experience with stuck hatchback on 2006 R53? It does not respond to locking/unlocking with the key, nor with the toggle switch.

2003 R50 here, but I know there's a wiring connector leading to the release located behind my hatch cover. If it came loose you'd have that problem. Do you hear it clicking or is there nothing? Did you recently do anything to the rear wiper?

In my car there is an emergency release cable for the hatch under the passenger side rear seat (a bowden pull cable). If you have that you can manually release the hatch to get a better look at the situation.

Thank you, Stanislaus. Most likely the problem is as you have described. I hear no clicks, etc. when I depress the recess under the lid handle. I'll go ahead and release it manually as you have described, and then diagnose the problem.

Thanks again.

No problem! I hope this helps/is your issue.
The part of the wiring harness that meets the door latch switch is #37 0n this diagram, though it's not actually shown-it's just a push-down-and-release clip type connection.

Stanislaus,

Thank you for the additional info. I tried it, and the problem was loose connection to the handle. Pushed it in, and it works fine now.

Thanks agian.
