intake manifold hose connection help

quick question
how do you remove the hoses from the intake manifold? I busted my sucking jet valve and lost my brakes and need to remove the connection that leads to the intake manifold. thank you in advance!!

Just push down on the ring itself, then pull on the hose.

I'm sure this doesn't have to be said but why not, re-assembly, just push the tube in, no need to push the ring down for that.
