Is there any way to get the factory alarm LED light in the front center of my dash to blink when I lock the car? I don’t have the factory alarm, but I through I remember reading someone where that you could get it setup to blink somehow. I don’t really remember the specifics…..or if it was very difficult and/or expensive.

Has anyone got there “no-alarm” mini to blink the LED on the dash whenever they lock the doors?

Any info would be great!!

The item in the center of the dash is a temp sensor for the climate control not an led.
You may have trouble getting it to blink.

 

Are you sure? I always heard it was a LED light for the cars that came with a factory alarm? I thought I even saw a post a while back talking about using some kind of software on a laptop to make it blink??

I've heard that as well, and I think it was in reference to 2nd gen cars with the light on the back of the tach.

 

The alarm LED is on either the tip of the wiper stalk or the turn signal stalk, depending on what year your R50/R53 is.

the thing in the center of you dash is for climate control.

 

If you add the turn or wiper stalk with the red tip, it will indeed blink, even if you don't have the alarm.
