Oil Cooler Leak?

So this weekend i started to change my oil pan gasket thinking it was leaking. Turned out it wasnt the gasket leaking liquid oil everywhere. I finally traced the leak and it also seems to be all over the engine block, particularly right where the oil filter screws on. I already looked at the top of the housing and the o ring is fine. But i can see a fine drop of oil on the bottom screw

Had a mustang guy come look at it and he said to check the lines to the oil cooler and or the gasket seal. Ive looked it up and it seems to be legit. I just need some opinions from people who have dealt with this before...

If you're talking about the OEM oil cooler / heat exchanger on the oil filter base, then there are no oil lines to be checked. The 2 lines you can see are coolant lines. Oil passes thru the oil cooler / heat exchanger by 2 passages sealed by o-rings that are not visible from the outside. They are located between the oil cooler / heat exchanger and the filter base. If you have to change the o-rings, you'll want to drain the coolant as the 2 external lines provide coolant flow thru the oil cooler / heat exchanger.
