Need Alternator Removal Advice (2003 S)
My alternator has gone kaput, and last night I pulled the car apart to get at it. Everything went smoothly until it came time to unplug the alternator.
I can not for the life of me get the plastic plug (the three-wired one) next to the b-wire out of the alternator. Is there some sort of trick to it, or a tab of some sort that I couldnt' see? I just tried pulling on it, and I could feel it wiggle around, but I could never get it to actually come out. I even tried levering it out with a screwdriver, but all it did was bend the screwdriver.
Please tell me I'm missing something that will make this easy.

Ther has to be a little tab that pulls out or slides up or down that will allow the connector to pull apart. the Bentley manual shows that the connector comes apart by going down towards the ground. pictures are not that good in the manual. Check some other electrial connections and see how they work. Good luck.

Thanks guys, got it out. You were right, the tab is on the top of the plug. For whatever reason it was wayyyy stiffer than all the other plugs on the car and I had to use a small pair of vicegrips to push down on it hard enough to pull the plug out, but once I did it came right out.
