Now that you have your MINI, do you find that.....

A. I spend less time here on the NAM site now that I got my MINI

B. I spend about the same amount of time as before I got my MINI

C. I spend more time now then before I got my MINI

For me I have to go with "B" I think I spend about the same amount of time.(2 hours per day) I'm looking now at the Performance mods and interior and exterior mods.

Minihune is my Mod Advisor. He say's I can't add any mods until he first approves it. A big Aloha to my good friend Minihune. 03 Chile Red/White MCS with Hawaii plates now located in OKC

For me I'd have to say C. Since I didn't know of ANY of the MINI sites before I got my car. But I only waited 2 weeks so I can't complain.

Definately C, I put my MCS up for the winter. I did not want to subject it to the brutal Michigan winter when I have a perfectly good 10 year old Saab to take that punishment.

For me, I found out about this website after I bought my MINI. I'd read alot of the old posts for weeks before my first post. Sometimes I have more time to be online and sometimes not. It varies.
I'd say C.

D.J.,
You're doing great so far. It's much better to be slow to mod than to be too fast. The true story on a new upgrade sometimes takes a few real life testers to figure it out. This helps all of us. Soon you will come up to one year having your MINI and you'll know plenty. I on the other hand have gotten to the point I am starting to replace my first mods with other mods.

C. As most of the others I did not know about this site until after I brought the MINI home. And even if I had known about this beforehand, I'd probably still say C.

Minihune, I think also here on the mainland, we NAMers may spend more time on the site during bad weather days, and less when we get the nice warn weather like you always get. Just a thought

B...same amount. I had lots of questions before I got my MINI and found answers here. Also helped me cope with "Awaiting MINI Syndrome" (AMS).

Now..........................I really have no excuse. Its interesting reading about mods although I have none planned. Personally, I hang out in OT and MINI Talk a lot. If misery loves company then why not euphoria!?!?!?!?

This is a good point. I will say that in the middle of the night like after 11pm HST we do have quite a few Hawaiians actively online on NAM. During the day it is quite pleasant to be motoring as long as you don't get caught in the big rush hour mess on our highways.

So on those bad weather days you can do more homework and study the old threads so that you don't miss anything.
There is so much info on NAM. Search anything- it's been discussed in some way shape or form.

A ... sorry

When I was waiting the "can't wait for" club was wonderful. But since owning the MINI I have found that MINI2 is much more effective for keeping in touch with other local owners, organizing events, etc.

IMHO, NAM needs the facility like MINI2 to alert people when a reply is posted ...

A for me. But I used to practically live on NAM and MINI2 while waiting for my Cooper, so now maybe I'm just normal. LOL

But seriously, I've gone for weeks without realizing I had PM's waiting for me. Part has to do with enjoying my life more with my MINI, part has to do with not having money to dream about new upgrades! Ha ha. Actually right now, everytime I think of getting an intake or exhaust, I just sit in my car, take a deep breath, and remember why I bought my baby, and why he made me so happy! Then I forget about the upgrades, and proceed to go for a drive!

B. The same.

I found this site a little more than a year ago, soon after I decided I wanted a MINI.

I spent a ton of time here researching options and getting all of my pre-ordering questions answered. Then I spent a ton of time in the November club.

And I'm still here.

Actually, my NAM usage depends more on my computer access than anything else. I left it on all the time at my old job. Then we relocated over the summer, and I didn't have a computer for a while.

Now I have a new job in a new town, which coincidentally involves doing research on the internet all day. So I'm back to leaving NAM running all the time.

The site I never go to anymore is MINIUSA.com. I used to play around with the configurator, looking at different colors and options. Now that I have the car, there's no need to go back there anymore.

B. My work-life is getting busier now, so less time to be on NAM.
Plus I spent a ton of time learning about my MCS, now I have (less)
to learn...

It has been up and down since I got my MINI in Feb. 03. Some months I barely checked the forum, and didn't post at all. Then some things happened, and it became possible for me to order a JCW equipped MCS. At that point, I started back to reading and posting at almost the same rate as when I first joined the forum. Moving into new territory makes the forum very interesting again. Can't wait to see the new S, about 6 months out or so.
