R50/53 Hood and Drivetrain question

Anything is possible...
But to make a r50 awd...you will need lots of changes...
Morr power...
But more importantly, a liftkit to make room for the driveshaft, custome exaust, rear diff, rear axel..all custom...
So short if saying you will have a one off custom 4x4 r50...that will likly need a sc or turbo to be more than a slug....so practically, NO. If you deal wity snow, get real snow tires, you will be amazed!!

Getrag, the company who made the R53 transmissions, had a prototype AWD Cooper S back in 2003-4 or so. There are videos of it floating around the internet but I can't seem to find any.
So with Getrag parts, or a suitable donor car, you could graft an AWD transmission to a MINI.
