Upper engine stabilizer mount

I need to swap at the upper engine mount; the one on the passenger side. I haven't been able to find any instructions I keep getting the other engine mount. Does someone know if i can just unbolt the bar and stick the new one on and if so what are the torque values?

Are you talking about the hydrolic top motor mount or the metel bracket itself?

As far as the mount I don't remember the torque specs in the mount, I went to the TSW solid, I know the four bolts that mount the bracket to the engine are 60 ft/lb, and don't forget to use a floor jack to support your engine from underneath, this mount does actually support some of the weight of the engine/trans.

Oh sorry im talking about the X shapped rubber stabilizer mount that attaches to the passenger strut tower.

On that note can someone tell me if this mount is broken by that I mean shrinking, its not leaky and it was supposedly replaced, but I think its weird that the other one would just rip!

For the upper one just unbolt and replace. You don't need to use a torque wrench to put it back together, just make sure it's tight. Use your judgement by how tight it is when you remove the bolts.

My rule is that upper mount is broken, it's cause the mount on the frame rail is worn out so we always replace them in pairs. In the pic it doesn't look broken, but it's hard to tell if it is worn and gotten shorter, cause that will also cause the upper mount to break.
