R50/53 IF you had $30 million...would you buy a MINI?
not to go off topic but d-mini-ero seems to be the kinda guy that has to have the newest and best thing, in some posts i have read that he will be trading in the mini for something newer and "better" in the future.
all i can say is, must be nice to have money to burn

>>i would buy a decked-out rv with a built-in garage and inside the garage would be my '05 mini. saw this on a fineliving show called "toys for billionaires."
I saw that thing, that was sweet! wasn't the mini a suprise for his wife or something like that?

I would get an old Cooper S, a JCW the hell out of mine, AND customize a bit. Of course I'd be living in a big city, so the MCS would be my city car. And would have something punchier for weekend drives and such. Maybe a 911-Turbo. I'd be a jet-setter, so I'd be traveling all the time
Certainly I could not say... But I frankly hope
that it doesn't happen to me. I believe it
would be very difficult for me not to become
a not-very-nice person. I yam what I yam...
and that's fine with me.
God speed.

$30m? A paint-job for Alice, a NICE classic to keep him company, and my wife could get whatever she wanted. And I'd get my "dream car", a black Countach.
Probably buy the house across the street that's for sale and knock it down to build a big garage.

Thirty Million - Dare to dream! Yes I would buy a MINI, and a classic, if I had that kind of money. I'd also make sure it would be able to be loaded on the KingAir also!I'd also make sure my dealer knew I had that kind of money and CHOSE to buy the MINI instead of what seems to be the accepted norm at dealers is that we settled for the lessor BMW.
If I had 30 Million, I would still buy my MCS. I would probably have two, one for the street and one for road racing. I would also buy:
2006 C6 Corvette Z06
Lotus Elise
New Dodge Viper
New Dodge SRT-10 pickup with the Viper Engine
Hummer H2 (I need something for the winter)
New 2005 Mustang Cobra
Ferrari 360 Modena
Ford GT
Ferrari Enzo
Porsche GT3
Porsche 911 Turbo
Radial SR3/SR4 (race car fror the track)
Subaru STI or Mitsu EVO
and maybe a classic car or two, such as a 63-67 Vette and a 68 Shelby Mustang
I'd sure need a huge garage

Charlotte Church did throw a party to celebrate but-
She says she's not really going to touch the trust for now.
She doesn't drive yet but maybe once she learns then she'll go for the MINI cabrio.
I hope she doesn't change her mind- it's great advertising for MINI.

Being able to buy a $25,000 car is hardly having money to burn. If he owned a Pagani Zonda and was trading it in on a new Enzo then maybe, but being able to afford a MINI only takes good credit since it is a fairly inexpensive car (relatively speaking).
And for the record, I'd probably have 1 as my daily commuter but I'd also have a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS, an '88 Porsche 959, a '94 Porsche 911 Turbo S flachbau, a 993 and 996 GT2 and a 996 GT3 as well as a 356 Speedster. In addition I"d probably also buy a Ferrari F40 and 360 Challenge Stradale. After that, some old American muscle like a Shelby Cobra and Shelby GT-500 and finally heavily upgraded Nissan Skyline GT-R, Toyota Supra Turbo and Mazda RX-7 FD3S.

I would definitely get another MINI! It would be my daily driver, and I'd probably get another Cooper.
With that kind of dough, though, I would definitely be getting a couple of classic Minis. (...maybe a Healey, too.) I'd be willing to spend some serious $$$s on restorations and reliability upgrades 'cause I'd sure want to drive them when the mood struck!!
As much as I love the classic, ya still can't beat the safety features of a new MINI.

I'd buy a fleet of 'em, plus an Elise. And the Mazda 3,
I'd set up each Mini for different purposes. Travelling, racing, rallying, road driving, daily driver, etc. Some would be modded out the wazoo, others conservative. And I'd set myself up with 6 Italian Job replicas... new and old.

The MINI would definitely be the car in a mix as a front wheel drive handler- no doubt one as well trimmed out as possible. At least a JCW, possibly an import tuned by BBR, since who cars about a warranty?! Of course there'd have to be a classic mini, probably about the same look as The Italian Job. Then a Porsche 911 GT 2 or 3 or something comperable for a rear wheel drive handler, and maybe a Gallardo for an all wheel ride. The main thing is- there would be a MINI. Money can't buy everything, and the MINI has some priceless qualities.

I would definitely buy a MINI! This kind of fun is priceless, so it's a really, really great thing that MINIs are comparitively inexpensive!
I'd probably keep my current baby 'cause she's my first.
But I'd also get a JCW MCS, custom paint it Silk Green/White roof, and put in custom leather sport seats - probably close to the Emerald green that was offered in '02 and '03, with anthracite dash. I'd have one just for the track, too, maybe in Dark Silver or Chili Red... or that really cool metallic orange they're coming out with!
I'd also probably get a Porsche, either a 911 or a Boxter; having never driven either model, I'm not sure which one I'd like better. A classic Mustang drop-top is a must. And then the utility vehicle: maybe a Murano or something...
Then I'd get a really nice house with an ocean view and enough garage space to house my rides.
