Hey, I’m sort of new here and I was checking out mini's.
What would everyone’s ultimate setup be, engine mods, suspension, everything, for a street/track mini.
Let’s say around 30K.

Thanks everyone.

Welcome to NAM e_short

There are many...many ..many ... did I say many :smile...opinions...suggestion...answers..... to the question you posed.

My 2002 MCS was $25K
added bout $5 K or so...
New rims and tires, Webb-Powerchip ECU upgrade, Helix 15% pulley, madness air-intake, Borla Street exhaust, EBC brake pads, and a rear sway bar.
It's my versions of....... ULTIMATE
It's ~200-205 HP @ the crank and drives like a rocket ....lol

Peace,
D

Base MCS, limited slip installed, adjustable coil overs and swaybars, light rims and sticky tires, pulley/ECU/exhaust/filter/intake for 220 crank hp or so, race seats.

In other words an autocross/road race beast. Easily done for less than $30K, and I am up to the Quaife install to prove it.

The BBR 275 is what I would like to have in my garage, but it’s a lots more than 30K and you’d have to live in the UK to get it.

Past 38k good grief man what have you done so far!!
Randy's mule is currently at almost 240bhp if anyone is interested (he said it's so fast that first gear is almost useless...just wheel spin).
My goal is a more realistic 225-230

Mine in about a year:
17" SSR comps, P-Zero Corsa's, Stoptech Big Brakes, ALTA pulley, Alta rear sway bar, Alta intake, SPA oil pressure/temp gauge, Autometer boost gauge (this will all be on in a week or two)
To come: Milltek exhaust, header, Leda coilovers, some kind of camber fix, roll bar, ECU (GIAC or Webb).
All added to an MCS with HID lights as the only option.

Well, I'm guessing. After taxes, my Mini was around 26-27k. Add around 10k worth of mods and it's there. The last addition (Sparco leathers) didn't added any hp but really improved the seating situation. That was at least 2.5k If I'd put that towards power mods, I'd have over 230 too. Right now, I'm guessing around 215.

I'd start with a Austin 850 in need of a restoration ($2,500).

Add one crate 426 HEMI from the boys at Chrysler ($7,500)

Spend the rest ($15,000) making it into a mid-engined screamer.

But that's just me.

p.s. Oh yea, the extra bucks ($5,000) I'd spend on expendables like gasoline and tires.
