>>When I read csasso's subject line, I thought of when I visited my neighbor with his one day-old new puppies.
>>
>>I asked him what kind of puppies they were. He told me they were Democrats.

>>A couple of weeks later, I couldn't get that out of my head so I went back to see him and his puppies.
>>
>>He then told me that the pups were now Republicans!
>>
>>Perplexed, I aked them why they were they Democrats back then and now they were Republicans"
>>
>>Simple he said, now they've got their eyes open.
>>
And then they became housebroken and turned back into Democrats...

Sorry, couldn't resist. Hopefully, a lot of messes will be cleaned up over the next 4 years

>>Now Europe has many problems of thier own but their culture and traditions seem to be less geared towards the apathy of living a TRUE quality standard of living and be sorrounded by material possesions and mounting debt to be "successful" and "happy".

I love how we got from a woman getting so caught up in her love of the MINI that it made her change her mind so dramatically to us ugly Americans and our consumer culture - Just let it go.

For the record:

No she does not believe there should be only sticks she just got caught up in the MINI experience.

An enthusiast would have an opinion on auto vs. stick, what a proper racing color for a British, Italian or German car would be, why its worth extra cash for a real performance car, why there is more to a car then 0-60 times etc.

My wife thought before the mini that a car is car, and did not care what she drove as long as it had a stereo. The MINI woke up a passion in her that is great, its a new love.

That’s the point of the original post.
