Sure enough, I checked on mine and the two nuts which attach the rearward part of the scoop are gone entirely. This probably has to do with the fact that these nuts also hold the plastic air deflector in place. The expaning and contracting of the plastic deflector no doubt made these little 5mm nuts loosen then fall off. Looks like I gotta root through my bolt bin for locking replacements.
Read this yesterday and checked I'm short the two front nuts. Still! I hasd read the original and asked the dealer on two previous visits for other issues to fix it. Stopped by dealer for other issue yesterday and printed copy of this thread given to
service advisor. Told tocome back in ten days .
I think I'll remove it and report it blew away on the interstate. I could use a spare.
