My 05 MCS auto only has 1 muffler, should it? RealOem shows 2.

The muffler has a Mini logo and this # 18107521422 – 01.

I haven’t found much info about it, nothing on RealOem a little info on Google but most of it’s in German.

The previous owner probably had the One-Ball exhaust mod performed aka Lance Armstrong mod. The resonator is removed and the center exhaust pipe is run straight into the muffler and then out the tips.

 

yup someone saved you 30-150 bucks by doing it

I just got mine done last week for 40 bucks

So that’s the resonator on the left.

This thing just keeps getting better!
It was a trade-in @ the original selling lot who sold it to another dealer.
When we test drove/bought It I thought “so this is the famous mini cooper s, runs ok, nothing great.”
After I ran 3 or 4 tanks of premium I started thinking “HHhMMm”
Now that another 3 or 4 have been burned I’m thinking “SO THIS IS THE FAMOUS MINI COOPER S WOW!!”

And now that I’ve had a little time to REALLY take a good hard look at all the stuff that’s been added, it’s starting to look like I made a REALLY good deal.

Big C I can speak for the sound, sounds stock to me.
I was just reading about it on the Helix web site, no picture. $225 saves 20lbs and “and increases top end horsepower.”
