getting rid of the mufflers

im doing a bit of my own custom modding. gutted the cat from the stock header already, and now im trying to decide between removing the resonator or the actual muffler. my 05 R53 has the alta cat back on it, so if anyone has done anything like this, one way or the other, how do you like it? how does it sound and perform? is it a big cop magnet now or would i be ok?

I would get rid of the muffler before I got rid of the resonator. Maybe even replace your mufflers with extra resonators, which is basically all sport mufflers are. Running with no resonators tends to make things raspy, and you'll sound like a civic.

Cop magnet with stright pipes....and you will need ear plugs...drone galore on the highyway i bet. Once you have a performance exaust, you are not gonna gain much by chopping it off...
Using a highflow cat or headers connected to the current system would get you more power, and keep you street legal.

Just remove rezonator, I have Mynes V2 header with OEM cat. fabricated to fit and JCW cat back, it sounds good especially when I got on it, but after rezonator delete it is "****". Just remember you are not doing our air quality any favors by gutting your cat, only my opinion though.
