Snow Tires and Wheels Help

Hi,

I need to find some information regarding my fiance's wheel offset. The winters here in Utah are heavy and, while she was fine last year, she is doing more canyon driving now. She has a:

2006 MCS With the OEM S-lites

My plan is to pick up some dedicated winter wheels and throw some winter tires on them.

So my questions are:

- Will any model year Mini Wheel fit hers?
- What offset and lug pattern does the car have?
- Any relatively inexpensive wheel you would suggest?
- Any specific tire you suggest?

Thanks for you help.

The lug pattern is 4X100 and I think the offset is between 35-52mm depending on the wheel.

I'm picking my mini up day after tomorrow and have just recently gone through the whole winter tire/wheel decision. I live in Alaska so having a set of dedicated winters is a given. I have obsessed about finding the absolute best tire/wheel combination and here is what I've come up with.

I'm going with the Rial Milano wheel (Tire rack has the 16" for less than $100). They've got good reviews and are lighter than the stock rims. Plus they look good!

I run 17" in the summer but I'm going to run 16" for more rim protection and a better ride in the winter.

I'm going with the blizzack WS-60 195/55/16 because I need THE BEST tire for ice and snow. If you can trade a little snow handling for better road handling I would go with the LM-60 in the same size.

Most importantly I'm dropping the Runflats and I'm gonna throw one of the summer wheel/tires in the back as a spare if I'm going out of town.

Hope this helps...

Mark

Check this thread for some details:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-the-mini.html

tl;dr:
steel rims from a 2002 Honda Civic EX are the perfect size for the Mini. The size is 15x6 with a 4x100 bolt, offset 40~45mm, ... with 205/50/15 size tires.

Or call "Alex" at tirerack.com.

I am going with the exact same size blizzak WS-60's on the stock rims for the Sierra Nevada winter. Will get some aftermarket 17's with Michelin's new Super Sport tire when spring comes.
