FYI there is definetly a difference in quality in pullies. I've had 2 different brands that have had big problems. On the one I got a couple that wouldn't even clamp together to install, then I had several in stock and started measuring them and there was a 2mm difference in tolerance, also removed some of this brand as the belt wasn't aligned. As for the other brand I had problems with I've had a couple of them that wouldn't go on cause the center was made too small. And we won't even start on the aluminum/steel corrosion thing.

These are a big reasons I starting making my own and being able to control the quality. And yes we offer a 16% pulley now.

I had an issue with one M7 pulley once (center ring too small as I already mentioned) and it was swapped with the same brand and that one went on smoothly. It happens and can happen to you as well... My point is that most of the MAJOR brands have about the same quality. Sorry, but I am still not buying it and I have done enough to have a fairly valid opinion on the topic. To date, not one of the ones that I have done have failed or have had any issues with belt alignment or slipping.

I'm glad you are offering a quality pulley but there are many out there that are top quality and great choices, not just yours. You make yours to make money, that is the bottom line.

As for steel to aluminum corrosion , it really depends on the type of steel and environment as to how much if any corrosion will occur. We could certainly have this discussion but it would be a little pointless as you would have to know what kind of steel is being utilized in each pulley and the moisture of the environment that it will be utilized in (just to start).

$$$ makes the world go round, and pays the bills....
In this enviorment it is great to have a vendor here that is still EXPANDING his R53 PRODUCT LINE, picking some great items/products like TSW, when they may have dissapeared...
My items from wmw have always been good, the prices fair/good, and shipping painless....heck my first interaction with wmw years ago, they CALLED ME on an internet order to verify the product, then check on my future performance goals to ensure i was getting the proper product for now and the future.
Do other folks make pullies, yes, imo both the craven/wmw pullies are the best (good service, price, reputation)...my car happens to have a craven...was what my mini guy had on the shelf that day....
The fact they BOTH come from companies that support the mini community, and make a good product is icing onthe cake...

Ethonol increases the volume of fuel that needs to be pumped/sprayed, so from your posts, i gather you are not in the us, so fuel wise you might not be as limited as many us posts might lead you to believe....in the us we have e10 (10%), and pre mid 2005 when it became common, my car ran better.....my gut feeling is the few % increase in fuel that needed to be sprayed forced the mini computer to make adjustments that were less than optimum ...the 380's give just a bit more fuel...and seem to compessate well with a 17%
The 440's give you more future options and if from a food supplier with the correct dual cone spray pattern might be good with a tune...
I run 380's with a tune....
If i ever loose s tune due to a dealer reflash, i KNOW MY CAR WILL RUN OK.
i also own a tool to reflash it...was cheaper than doing a retune if it ever happened...just one more thing to consider...

thanks for the reply. i already ordered 17% pulley from wmw plus the ddm cai. Will i encounter any problems with the 17% pulley, ddm cai, stock injectors and stock tune? i'll probably get the 440 injectors or the 380 jcw injectors and a tune in the coming months (december or january) can that wait? We have e10 here and some have e5 (5%) i think. but i'm using 100 octane gas right now without any blend of ethanol.
what is your tool that you are using ? (for reflashing) thanks
