R50/53 Instrument Panel Won't turn off
Instrument Panel Won't turn off
Hi,
A rainy day here in Boston. When I got home and shut off the car the instrument panel wouldn't turn off. I noticed when I open the door, it bings as if reminding me to turn off the lights or that I have left the key in the ignition. I started the car again and drove it around the block, nothing changed. I turned the lights on and off, and I flipped most of the switches. I have a 2003 Cooper S
Any thoughts short of disconnecting the battery?
James

Is it just the odometer/trip comp or is it both that and the OBC on the tach? I know you can manually shut off the odometer/trip comp by holding down the little stalk that comes out of the speedo (almost like youre trying to reset the trip computer).
