I recently took my MC in for the first service. After I got it back, the countdown mileage indicator now shows almost 15000 miles. I thought it was supposed to be 10000 miles? What gives?

 

I think in the manual it said something like 10k, then 15k, then 10k, then 15k
intervals.

 

After the 10k mile mark it jumps to 15k.

Plus, if you drive it right (fairly hard with periods of niceness in between), you can do what I got... first service at 8500 miles, not at almost 22 with 4900 to go before my next, so I'll be getting like 2-3k over the 15K... so...

 

Yep....I hit my first one at about 8500 also.

Thanks for the info. Too lazy to pull out the manual.
