Most effective way to blow $500-1000?

Hey everyone! I recently finished an apprenticeship and I'm now a certified professional baker. Canada has incentive programs in place for trades, which pays out grant money to apprentices for first and second year, and then $2000 for finishing a program.

Although I may just do the smart thing and tuck this away for moving to Europe in three years when my girl finishes her degree, I'm considering blowing some of it on the car.

You can see from my sig I have done a handful of mods already. I am at the point now where I assume suspension is my best option. I'd love some suggestions on what to do next. What I want out of the car is to make it feel quick by handling as well as it can. I'd like to lower it a little, eliminate body roll, and generally make it a stiffer, more responsive little daily driver.

Man, Looks like your already hooked up great. Consider checking the control arm bushings and go Poly. Heard great things about the Koni sport and FSD shocks. But, man they are expensive.

If you just want to add some bling, check out Whalen shift machine. He has some killer shift *****.

Other than that, Save your money and Motor On!!!

Get a set of used springs and rear control arm and save the rest.

Thanks for the tips guys! I'm keeping my eye on the marketplace for springs. I'd love to get shocks but yeah, they are pretty god damn expensive.

I'm currently running hsport springs with stock shocks and I can't complain. Has so far kept me from feeling the need to blow money on coilovers. You will need to pick up rear control arms as well though since any lowering will drastically affect your camber in the rear and wear out your tires fast.

You needed control arms even with just the 1" drop on the H-Sports? Good to know! I was thinking H&R, but the bigger drop might be too harsh. TSW look good but I don't know if they have sorted out the raised front end issue yet.

PS, looking at your car, I think I want a front splitter!
