I have a Cooper S 05. I was driving when the ride became bumpy and I smelled burning tire. I thought I had a flat but I didn't. I got out and didn't see anything but there is something wrong.

Anyone know what it could be. I know the car is vibrating now and if you take your hand off the wheel it will go right. This car already had the left axle replaced but this was back in 07 after an accident. Anyone know what it could be?

My dealer warranty is expired so I'm sure whatever it is will cost me at least $1,000.

 

Something in the suspension broke and is rubbing on the tire?

Doesn't sound safe to drive it as it is.

 

Oh I was afraid it was something serious like this. I will definitely not be driving it.

 

I think luckily it was just a tire problem. I have another question though. If I get the brake drums replaced about how much will that run me?

 

Are you talking about the rotors? No drums on the mini
