2004 R53 HID Headlights not working

Hi everyone,

Posted in 1st gear an intro of my mini rescue project. Vandalized MCS that runs amazing. Just have to do some cosmetics. All things mechanical appear great. Car like new beyond the vandalism. Loving this car! Looking for reasons to drive again!

My main problem Low beam HID's not working both sides. Any idea as to how to proceed to troubleshoot this. I really need to get these working this car is my daily driver now. High beams work fine.

(I also am stumped as to how to get to the back-up light bulb, it's my last replacement for all lights to work - except for the headlights

thanks for any help!
JD

ok so first the simple question, have you tested for voltage coming to the connectors for the bulbs?

I had my car in the shop this week and had a similar problem. Turned out someone had serviced my car at some point and had removed the front bumper to do the service. They did not get the comb plug plugged in tight. My shop got it plugged back in and all is well.
