F39 Fuse Blowing after PSP Replacement

Hi, I have a 2003 MCS with 90K. I just replaced the PSP and Fan which was toast. I bled the system and everything was working OK after a test run. Today I did my usual 30 miles to work and the battery light came on and the PS went hard. The F39 fuse had blown which according the fuse diagram is a 5 amp fuse for the battery. I checked the fluids for the PSP and they were OK.

Can anbody help point me in the right direction with an explanation of what may be blowing this fuse. I replaced the fuse and all is well but I expect it may happen again.

Thanks

Not sure if the fuse layout on an 03 is different than an 06, but F39 a 5a and is the for ASC/DSC in an 06. F38 is a 10a for the battery. Are you sure that it was F39 and it was for the battery?

I've seen the rebuilt pumps blow fuses like that otherwise you have some other wiring problem.
