One of the very few things I would like to change is the shift ****. I have seen many types made by MOMO and others I like. Does anyone know what I should look for or order so it fits on the factory stick? Is it the same attachment method on all BMW's? A lot of catalogs don't list the MINI yet. I really need to know before I plunk down $100 and order something that doesn't fit!

Check out the archives at MINI2...I saw pics there of many different *****, including skulls and other "funny-car" type *****, as well as more traditional ones. Or, type MINI Cooper into google's search engine to find all the after-market links. Let us know what you pick!

Cheers!

The mini shift **** is actually a push on pull off, snapping type mechanism. It's actually kinda cheap in my humble opinion. It does not thread on.

To check it out just give the **** a firm tug straight up. It should come off surprisingly easy.

I replaced mine with one from Moss Mini, along with the leather boot and matching handbrake kit.

My only complaint it the shift post is to long, and the throw should be shortened.
