R50/53 My MCS is horrible in the snow.

I have the "all weather" 16's on my S, and the car is a blast in the snow and ice!

The ground clearance puts a stop to it though.

all season or dedicated snow tires would make a world of difference. Performance tires don't cut it in icy conditions. . .
YuccaPatrol is right on here. I had a Cooper loaner with performance tires and i couldn't get more than 3 blocks from my house in TWO inches of snow. I couldn't believe it! My MCS with 17" All-seasons has no problem in twice the amount of snow. Performance tires aren't even meant for the rain nevermind the snow! And actually, all-seasons can't even compare to what snow tires can do. So if I were you - you can keep the performance tires, but you have to switch to snow tires for the winter.
