I had this programmed at the dealer, and have found a fun use for this feature.

When I'm going out to my parked car, I stop for a second about 20 feet from the car, until the next person or group of people stop to look in/at the car. I wait until they have their face to the window, looking at the interior, and then I press and hold the remote, and the windows and sunroof open.

The person(s) have this wide-eyed look, step back from the car, look all around, and usually say 'who's doing that?'...then I can walk up and say 'gee it must really like you'.... good ice-breaker... would be a great Candid Camera skit.

I figured (((you))) would already be doing this!! Isn't it a hoot? Today there was an older couple (gee, I forget, but they were probably a couple of years older than I was... that is, until I got the mini and became 17... and that's on a grown up day...), who jumped back, looked all around before figuring out it was me. I am always on the look out for twins or triplets....but no luck today.

I just went and watched a few minutes of the news (some nights, I think I am too young to watch the news alone). I think that for world peace, we ought to take up a collection to buy a mini for bush. I really think he would take one drive in it, and forget all about this iraq thing; maybe we could get him an mcs, and he could have a ball buzzing around Washington, out-running the secret service, until the next election. Maybe we could send one to Hussein-- he'd probably say, 'sure, let em inspect what ever they want, just gas up my cooper, I gotta drive...' Within a week, I'll bet the two of them would work things out, have a press conference, each in mini hats, toasting with mini mugs, and they should definately get shirts (or if not, we could go with the supporters)... and there would be no casualities, which is a very good thing...

20 feet away? Heck, our building is around 1/10th of a mile long, and all brick, and I was inside the office halfway down the building, and the windows still went down. Talk about range!

 

I liked not only opening thewindows, but if you clicked on the remote 4 times it would play Dixie on the horn...that is a real Ice Breaker.....
