I used to have an accessport for my STi and this tool seems to be similar but there is no information on it, not even on rmw's website. Are there basic generic maps available when purchasing? Or even a more aggressive stock map since the cars run rich out of the box? With the accessport you could upload maps available for free on their website that allowed you to have a basic tune for a given set of mods.

 

I'm a little hesitant to use these kinds of 'generic flas tools'. I think every engine is a little different and should be tuned accordingly.. If you have a different CAI or spark plugs, things change

 

Yes you're correct, however with the accessport they had maps specific to certain mods and even the octane of the gas used. Oftentimes the difference between the generics and a custom tune were no more than 10 hp. What I'm really looking for is info on the flash tool as to what its capabilities are and such.

 

In a nutshell the RMW flash tool is for downloading, storing and uploading RMW custom tunes specific to your vehicle!
