Retrofit Chrono gauges

Is it possible to retro fit the chrono gauge kit? I do not own an r53 but I want to get this for a friend. I searched and nothing came up that is why I am asking.

Thanx

Most likely not worth the effort...
It has been done....with ok results...things warning lights lit, etc...
Usually the recommendation is to trade the car, or live with it.
If you add the cost to reprogram the car to the parts...I bet it would beca $$$ project. There are a few threads...

It can be done, but the kit isn't cheap. Any it will have to be programmed by the dealer.

I remember someone asked about it here and then went ahead and did it at the dealer. I think it was around $2000. Actually I think MINI may have a retrofit kit.

According to RealOEM, the chrono gauge is $626 and tach/speedo is $452. You might be able to get partial operation with used parts, but normally they need to be coded to the VIN, which can only be done with new gauges.
