Irvine Mini/BMW

So I wanted to change my fuel filter today and didn't want to wait and order one online. I figured my local Mini dealer should have one right? HA...I went to the parts counter and asked for a fuel filter for my 04 MCS. The guy comes back and says go to the cashier I'll have her ring you up. I noticed the price was waaay to cheap; roughly $18. So I look at the reciept and it's for an oil filter. Soooo...I go back to the parts guy and tell him what I need. He searches the system for about 5 mins and then says, "we dont stock that part and have no history of any orders ever." In disbelief I kinda laughed and left.

How in the hell does a local Mini dealer not carry a fuel filter or have any history of previous orders?

My experience at Irvine Mini/BMW was my first and my last.

I've never seen a fuel filter cause an issue on a MINI that's part of the reason they don't have one in stock. And MINI says it's a lifetime filter so most people don't even think of replacing it. We've got them in stock if you need one.
