My MCS is on order with 17" wheels (I want handling performance). After reading all the posts, I'll be getting Blizzaks for my snow tires here in Montana.

So my question is, should I get the performance or all-season tires from the Mini factory on my order?

Performance is important to me. Would it be correct to say that I should get the performance tires from the factory for use in the summer when it's not snowing? And then I'll switch to the Blizzaks for the winter months?

Thanks for any recommendations,
Dan

Sounds like a good plan.
Here's my spin... though .
If you are truly performance driven...... the performance runflats will not be up to your standards. You'll op for a set of HP sticky tires
Going to Blizzaks in the winter months..it a terrific call

Peace,
D

Thanks Dminiero, but since I have to get *something* from the factory, I guess you're saying (in my situation), go with the factory performance runflats.

Cheers,
Dan

Yes. The Euphori@s aren't the world's best performance tires because they are run-flats, but the all-season run-flats (Goodyear RSAs) are great for sedans driven by people who don't care about how their cars handle. Snow tires are a necessary evil right now.

I got the performance runflats on my MCS, then upgraded to Yokohamas on other wheels - just for the summer, had always planned on buying snows for the MINI.

Running Michelin Acrtic Alpins now (on 15" steel wheels). Got stuck on a little ice on the Yokos a couple of weeks ago, but now feel like I can climb glaciers...
