Has anyone else had this problem ? It was raining here yesterday and moisture was able to accomolate between the the outer clear palstic in the lights themselves. Well it's colder today and now the moisture has frozen and formed ice and it looks pretty bad. It's looks like a cosmetic issue only, although it is kinda suprising. Cause for concern or a common design "feature" ?

You're supposed to remove the clear plastic covers when you get the car.

I took MINI in for a quick pressure wash to get some of the winter crud off the back hatch and noticed as I was drying things that there were spots where moisture had been able to get behind the tail light covers. It looked like a white discoloration and I was quite worried for a bit until I realized what it was. Sure enough it disappeared after some time went by. I don't know if it was just the pressure that caused it or if the tail lights allow moisture to get in all the time. In any case, I doubt it's serious since it goes away when things dry out.
