When i turn auto A/C off air continues to come through the vents. When I have the heat turned up it comes out hot and when its turned down it comes out cold even when it is tuned off. This is not good because there are times when i don't want or need the extra air.

I've noticed the same thing in my MINI, although I have manual A/C. IT appears that it is outside air flowing in. To stop the air coming in, I just change over to the recirculation setting.

 

Or just turn the fan down.

Yes mine does this as well, it appears to be a side effect of the Auto AC.

 

auto ac is horrible. You have to turn the fan all the way off or off isnt off. Makes no sense....

i've owned minis with both auto and manual air - same things happens in both..best thing - turn to recirc air - turn the fan down - and set it to the floor vents.

I'll try some of those ideas out and let you know what happens.
