Good morning,

I noticed a blurb on Gabes site 2004 Alarm Kits Now Available

I know they are $300, is the install job the same as the 2003's? I called
my Mini dealer and (surprise), they don't know. I assume the requisite
"flash" is required to update it as well? Anyone install one, anyone???

just bought a 2004 mcs and had factory alarm installed...2004 model had a bracket problem...mine works fine...

 

Update on the factory alarm, apparently the bracket is a bit different, but the install procedure is about 90% the same. The two difficult parts (according to Classic Mini) are the turn stalk and siren under the hood. Still, should be a <2 hr. install. Pretty easy stuff overall.

I just ordered my mini-fini armrest, alarm, and a few other accessories for classic. I guess the alarm kit is backordered. Should be in within ~2 weeks...
