...of course that being said I've done it too, albeit not in a MINI My friend's Grand Am was like shifting a sponge.

In the UK most people who get their cars tuned have the limmiter bumped up to 7400rpm, that is where the stock head starts to loose power, and it is still perfectly safe.

This is exactly what happened to me, right down to looking around to see if anyone witnessed it.

I did this nearly 4 years ago - so far, no problems whatsoever.

its really about length of time for stress and engine heat.
the fact that you are worried about it makes it ok from sense most dont give a *****.
