I have a 2002 Mini Cooper, after filling my gas tank recently and restarting my car the power steering went out. Called mini and it is being towed right now, any clue what can be wrong with it? :???:

Perhaps it overheated, their have been various threads on here about the power-steering fans failing. Consequently the system overheating (since it's electric steering, NOT hydraulic as in most cars). Finally, power steering system dying Some of the root causes were dirt/debris ingested into the fan...

Might want to think about a power-steering fan guard. Moss motors sells em...

cheers,

-Matt
