R53 fog lamp replacement/need help

I need to replace the passenger side fog lamp in the front bumper of my '03 S. Do I need to remove the bumper to get to it? Or can I get to it from underneath/above?
Thanks.

Pull the passenger side wheel off first. Then you can pull some of the fasteners from the fender liner & access the fog light by pulling the liner back or remove it completely. You do not need to remove the bumper cover. It is not too tough of a job.

You might want to buy some headlight film & install it on your lights. My lights are intact because of it. I bought mine from Outmotoring.

Should be 4 fasteners IIRC. These plastic fasteners have philips heads that do get stripped and may need to be replaced if that is the case.

A technique for the plastic fasteners is to use a flathead screwdriver to pry at the edge while slowly twisting with a phillips head in the center. This will help keep from stripping them.

Great tip JJF. Unfortunately, the previous owner (or more likely the dealer) didn't do that on my car

Looks like the part number for replacements is 07 14 7 146 367. They're listed at $0.50 per pair. See if you can get some at the dealership or other Euro parts store near you.
