"This is so cool!
How about an all Pepper White with
chrome trim and black leatherette interior?
That's what I'm getting.

Mrs. Peel. Set for Dec. build - Jan. delivery "

And this one's for you.....

Pepper White with chrome....

Sorry the leatherette isn't an option on the config tool.

>>Boy choosing a color is very difficult! I know. Welcome to the group BTW.
>>As I was getting into my car last weekend a velvet red mini zoomed around the corner. It looked mean( in a good way, like the hero facing his enemy!)
>> The Color invoked in me a driver who enjoy's richness in things, a dirver who is opulent. It's like a feast or full bodied red wine, quite delicious! While a pepper white, ( I have never seen one in person), suggests to me a more austere beauty, a crispness like a chardonnay, a driver who is put together and down to buisness, in a friendly mini sorta way.

I have Liquid Yellow on my LTL YELO , it looks like a good pint of Guinness that has gone through your system. It really shows up on the road. They're painting fire engines yellow now because of their great visibility. So there!

i really love pepper white, I considered getting it myself. I love all the colors except the velvet red. There is just something about the color that doesn't seem to fit the MINI IMHO. I don't mean to offend anyone who got this color, it just was not me.

I like both colors (pepper white and velvet red) but, I'd personally go with the velvet red but, with a white top. I've seen velvet red with a black top and one that was solid velvet red and those cars looked brown until you got real close. I remember a much earlier topic posted here about a brown Mini somewhere on the East Coast and the debate over it actually being velvet red. Turned out to be a custom brown paint job. But, the velvet red does seem to have a brown tint to it unless offset by the white top, at least from my tired eyes. But, if you don't see that brown in there or it doesn't matter to you, I vote velvet red. For what it's worth, my MC is chili red.

Just saw the post of the gold. Reminds me of a brown that Porsche used on the very early 912/911. That color had a very less than flatering nickname, if anyone else remembers.

Color was a BIG decision for us, but I had been interested in the Pepper White / Black combination from early visits to the MINI USA site. When we finally got to the dealer there were no Pepper Whites and my wife fell in love with the Silk Green. She lobbied hard for Silk Green, but this is primarily my car and I offered to compromise on Pure Silver, hoping that a we'd see a Pepper White and I would be able to sell her on that. After intially specing the Silver/Black combo, I continued to search out a Pepper White with no luck, but thru this site and the MINI2 site I was able to come up with pictures, and I think I wore her down a little more with each picture I found, and she gave in and I changed to Pepper White.

I never saw one in person until I picked mine up 10 weeks later, but I am sooo pleased with the choice. It is classic and rich as Cooper4us says. I have had the windows tinted and that really finishes it off. Since tinting the windows I seem to be getting even more looks than before, if thats possible!

In short I guess this is my vote for Pepper White !

P.S. you can see pics of my Pepper White on page 48 of the Members Mini Gallery

Sfiveten, can I impose on you for another PW build-up?

Cooper, Pepper White, Black roof, chrome trim, bonnet stripes, stock 7-hole wheels. SS+ suspension, if that's an option.

When I can afford one, that's what I'm going to get, but with the Works conversion, SPAX coilovers (I'll lower your jpg in Photoshop), and 195/60R15 tires.

thanks! This is an amazing thing you're doing! (wish I had a copy of that software)

Wow - sfiveten, you build a Mean MINI! The gold looks cool.

I have a build request for you:

My MINI-to-be (I'm in the "Can't Wait For November Club&quot is MCS, Liquid Yellow, black roof and mirrors with bonnet stripes. I've got the Premium and Sport package and black leather interior. (The cold pack stuff comes with one of those packages in Canada).

I'd really appreciate you using your magic configurator and building my MINI for me. I'm going crazy waiting. I may take your build and print it on a t-shirt!

Thanks for the offer!

Hello you all,

WOW, haven't checked in -- in a couple of days. Thanks SO MUCH for the replies. I just left Hank Aaron MINI here in Atlanta and there is a beautiful Pepper White under the lights in the showroom. I have only seen Velvet Red online. Althought that's what I've ordered...I am leaning toward the PW now. Such a classic color.

This color choice is SOOOO hard. Any other opinions would be greatly appreciated. You fellow MINI lovers are a great bunch. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Sfiveten-
Could you please "do" an Indi MCS, Lapis interior, with white top/mirrors, and the white 17" S-lite wheels? At least I can "watch" it while I wait!

Thanks for volunteering! (hope you don't get swamped)

November, eh? Join the "Can't Wait For November Club".

See the thread. Be a charter member. Don't agonize impatiently alone! You have friends!!

Compare your build date and delivery date with other Novemberites. And you get to quit the club upon delivery. Noone wants to be a member in December!

(I think that's our motto!).

Both combos are great, but IMOHO, the Velvet Red with a black roof is sporty and slick as anything. It 's like Dath Vaders ferarri.

To everyone who wants pics......
If you would send me a PM with your email. I would be glad to send them via email. This would be easier.... also.. I could send up to 3 pics per setup this way.
For those who are requesting the (Configurator) files..... I don't know that I could send them via email. They are zipped at 55mb. I don't think my email server will allow transfers that big. Sorry.
Keep an eye on the site though..... Maybe we could host it here..... a BIG maybe.
Happy Motoring

Velvet Red is BEAUTIFUL.......I'm biased, though. I ordered a velvet red/white top, even though I haven't seen it in person (another reason why I ordered it..not as common)! Plus, I drive a white car now, so need a change.

So how accurate is the Configurator?

sfiveten did me a great favour - thank you very much my fellow MINIholic for creating my LY/B MCS with your magic machine.

However, how many of you have noticed a colour difference between the Configurator and the "official" colours on any of the MINI web sites?

The Liquid Yellow from the Configurator has a wonderful "carmel" tint to it, while the LY from the MINI sites is a bright, dark lemon yellow.

Anyone else notice a disparity between colours?

I can't speak for the yellow, but the Pepper White is much whiter than the color appears in person.

The pepper white is a little yellower in real life than it appears in the configurator.
