R50/53 GARAGE BROKEN INTO PARTS STOLEN!!!!!
if it weren't such a PITA and $$$$ to move i think we'd be hiring mayflower and switching abodes! in the nearly 2 years we've lived at this address the garage has been broken into 2x (despite additional security measures), we've had 2 large boxes of christmas presents stolen after UPS dropped them at our doorstep (xmas 2008), our cars have been keyed (although that was surely my ex-wife) and i stumbled across a rattlesnake in my kids closet (amazing how quick one can grab a deadly animal with a set of grilling tongs when the adrenaline is pumping and your kids are asleep in the same room - highly recommend not trying this at your home though!!!!)
i'm definitely on high alert that these guys will be back

the garage isn't attached (we live in a condo) so doggy, although something we'd like, probably wouldn't have prevented the garage break-in. on the other hand, maybe i should've tamed the rattlesnake i found in the closet last year and kept that in the garage - i'm sure thieves don't like venomous snakes!
nice......yeah figured the pup would keep the slithering no legged snake at least out of the kids room
No offense to the officer on site, but contrary to what he said, you can get latent prints off of cardboard.
First you need to put the item in a cyanoacrylate fuming tank, then use some basic black print powder and a camel hair brush....Works almost every time.
That is my only complaint about condos, no pets. I am an advocate of having outdoor kennels for dogs. A good 12x12 kennel with a large aggitated dog, in the garage or not, these two legged snakes would have not stuck around.

i commend her belief (although i believe if you believe in the power and omnipresence of a big G---O---D, you don't need to write something like that out or broadcast a sign on your door), but i just laugh everytime i go to my garage now and see that sign, cuz my first thought is, gee i wonder if they read!
Checked the LA craigslist and nothing.
Being mugged is one thing. At least you can feel glad you weren't hurt during the mugging, but having you stuff stolen leaves an unsettling sting. I had my car broken into once when I was surfing and it pissed me off for quite a while.
I'm definitely taking some photos of my tools tonight and putting the car cover on the '67 Firebird, just in case. I might stop feeding the cat too, make sure she's good and feisty in case some would be burglars come prowling.
