I am waiting for my Chili Red Cooper and am thinking of getting black stripes although I will have a white roof (with sunroof) and white wheels. Is that CRAZY!?

how come you want black stripes? dont like the whites?
i love the way chilli red looks with a white top and white stripes...
red cars are not me tho...
i personally wouldnt do it... but thats just me.
someone on here has the dark silver with a white top and black stripes....

 

What you are asking for is not that odd. There are so many MINI people that personalize their cars, adding contrasting colors and stripes that really add character to their car. What I think you are wanting to see is something like this DS with White Roof and Black bonnet stripes. -- oh and I know of a Chili Red with Red Roof that has Black bonnet stripes, I'll find the photo and post it for you next.

 

Ok, Here's TwoMINIs cars. I knew he had a CR with Same Color Roof and had put the Black Bonnet Stripes on it.

Thanks for all the pix so far! And thanks for the encouragement! For some reason I just think the black stripes are pretty "bad-***" (for lack of a better term). The car has a lot of black accents anyway....so why not add to it, right!

Yo, Austin - that's my mini - the Electric Blue, white roof and black bonnet stripes with the aero kit and the flares painted all body color.

Okay, so this thread is a bit ancient. All the pics are no longer available. I searched - I tried to find the answer without starting a new thread...

I am going to be having bonnet stripes installed on my Chili Red MINI soon and was thinking of going with black stripes. I have a white top, so I wasn't sure this would look good.

Does anyone have any pics they could share?

I am Planning on having black stripes with white pinstrips put on my CR/WH MCS. It does indeed look great.

I love the way chili red mins look with a black stripe with a white pinstripe. Almost as good as a dark silver with the same stripe.

 

Cripes! This is exactly what I'm looking for, too. Seems that every three years someone goes in search of this.
