My wife wanted a Mini S to drive so we have one due in the next two weeks. My thought was when we ordered the Mini it would only be driven during the summer months like the majority of our other cars. She now says that she would like to drive it in the winter also. My question is how does it handle on ice and snow?
Thank you

Well I live in MN and lately it has been between 9 and 35 degrees with snow. My MCS had no problems I repeat no problems at all in fact it gripped the road better than any car I have driven here except our Jeep Grand Cherokee. In fact people were sliding around ahead of and beside me for a couple of my commutes and I had not a problem at all. Unless your winters are alot worse than Minnesota's you will be fine.

Hope that this helps you.

How much sticks and how often are the roads plowed?

I've go an MCS with the 17"ers and will probably move back to VA soon...don't want any surprises. Snow is no stranger to VA, but I doubt they keep the roads maintained as well as you do.
